A Year of How My Life Turned Around After My Broken Marriage

A Year of How My Life Turned Around After My Broken Marriage

Tears well up in my eyes as I write this because I have seen a remarkable metamorphosis that I had long hoped would happen. My life has been greatly restored after it was completely destroyed by a marriage that ended barely seven months ago. The problems we faced were insurmountable and included financial strain, in-law disputes, betrayal, and contempt. I eventually had enough and turned away, leaving a life of chaos and emotional destruction in my wake. Panic episodes, severe weight loss, and a deep sadness characterized the following six months. It was intolerable to manage both the severe financial strain and my baby’s care. I battled the stigma associated with being a single mother, had a boring life, and had trouble getting through the day and the sleepless nights.

But everything changed when I happened to stumble upon The Secret, a book I had bought four years before. I utilized it to manifest amazing things back then, when I was 22 years old: a dream wardrobe, a full scholarship, an excellent job, a rare digital camera, and more. My life served as an example of the effectiveness of manifestation and thankfulness. However, my once-beautiful existence fell apart as I lost my sense of appreciation. I found myself struggling as a single mother, jobless, and alienated from a devoted husband.

I opened The Secret again one very gloomy day and leafed over the pages. The truth struck me hard: my life’s brilliance had vanished along with my gratitude.

I became obsessed with my husband’s flaws rather than appreciating his efforts and the blessings I was blessed with. I had denigrated my work and let a pall of resentment envelop my life.

I read The Secret cover to cover in an attempt to change my direction, and I picked up my thankfulness practice again. I went back to the website, purchased a gratitude notebook, and read The Magic, a companion book that offered a potent 28-day routine. I concentrated on particular days—days 1, 3, 15, and 26—from the book, addressing topics like mend relationships and turning setbacks into opportunities. I painstakingly created a wish list, started a daily gratitude journal, and prayed for my marriage to get back together. I imagined my husband coming home, expressing his love, and getting back together with our child.

I found that practicing thankfulness made me cry on some days and felt pointless on others. The texts from my spouse stating that he had moved on and the contempt from his relatives struck me as a devastating blow. But I continued through it all.

I am overcome with emotion when I think back on the past and realize that, with a small modification, my wish has come true. When my husband came home last Sunday, he said the exact things I had hoped he would, and we made up. Every time I consider it, I find myself crying. The universe had, in fact, fulfilled its promise to bring about my desires by arranging certain people, places, and things. Even a casual friend who had never really been close to us before became very active, mediating and offering advice. My spouse met my mother, something he had swore never to do.

In addition, I had posted my ideal job, and the company I wanted to work for had posted a job opening last week that was exactly what I needed to do. I’m sure I can do that job.

I am really fortunate since the universe has confirmed that I am in charge of my own fate. My experience proves beyond a shadow of doubt, even in the face of initial skepticism, the transformative power of thankfulness. I can promise individuals who are in similar circumstances that their dreams will come true. Your wishes will be realized, your relationships will mend, and your finances will stabilize again. Adopt a strong sense of conviction and faith, stay focused on your objectives, and express your true thankfulness. Then give the universe what you want.

I wish you all happiness, love, and unwavering conviction.
